Jan Kroupa is a reporter who worked for the Občanské judo, Na vlastní oči or Natvrdo programmes with TV Nova and Czech TV. He is currently employed as an investigative journalist of the Czech Radio. He is known for his investigations of various high-profile cases including the Berdych Gang case, Zdeněk Doležel’s five million bribe in the Budišov reconstruction, the case of MP Jan Morava, Miloslav Mrština’s brothel or the government purchase of Pandur II transporters. He has recently opened the case of bullying and corruption among the inspectors of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
Author of Crime as a Profession. Jan Kroupa holds the Elsa Award, the Novinářská Křepelka Award and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Award for his work as a war correspondent.
